Not having much luck with my Beograms lately!! This one has stopped working for some reason. Press start it tracks and lowers as it should but the tracking arm seems to have stopped following the record and the needle arm just widens and after it looks like a V shape it stops and returns. It will move when the << is pressed and >> It just

Thanks Martin the motor runs fine and the belt has been cleaned. It seems to not want to initiate no light comes on when the play is pressed the platter spins. If I rotate the long screw to move the tone arm it then kicks in and moves and plays nicely but wont return automatically at the end but will if I press stop?? It was working before being shipped

Hi Thanks it is strange there is a difference but I prefer the MMC4 much like I prefer the EN compared to the CL! I listen mainly through sennheiser 580s and the speakers are Quad 112Ls. I would guess to really appreciate the MMC1 you need a system to reproduce its capabilities. I grew up listening to Radio 1 on MW listening to vinyl on cheap record

Hi I acquired an MMC1 with a Beogram i purchased to be honest I cannot tell the difference between the 1 and the MMC4 i use on my 5005 (shoot me down if you must!!) My music is mainly rock and 70s /80s pop stuff. i believe this would be most benefit to those who listen to classical and Jazz. How much no idea??? I am not an expert on these MMCs I will

Thanks for that john on closer inspection and experimentation what it seems to fail to do is recognise play and initiate any movt but if I passively turn the thread the switch suddenly kicks in and the lights come on and I can forward and reverse once over the record pressing play the arm lowers and plays reaches the end of the record but wont automatically

Hi Recently required a Beogram 8002. When I went to play a record nothing happens!! Lights come on saying 33.33 but no attempt at any movt from the tonearm. There is a normal hum but it desnt look like the motor to move the arm is moving?? Is this a cap problem or something simple?? It was an ebay purchase there was no damage to the beogram on arrival
