• Re: B&O doesnt recommend MasterLink anymore, the recommend CAD 7 cables for your house ???
According to this thread, not all Cat 5 and 6 works "perfectly"... at least if you have a BL3500 in the mix. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/10922/81475.aspx#81475 Short story shorter, you need *shielded* cat 5 or 6. I believe Cat 7 is shielded by default so this is not an issue. Stan
True. I should
No. Not correct. Cat7 is a unique type of cable. Cat5 & Cat6 will not work. At this point, Cat7 is available from Bang & Olufsen. As for it being able to work currently, absolutely. We've used it in installations and in the showroom and it works exactly the same as a Master Link or PowerLink setup does

  • Re: Keyring controls

Yes you can do this on your 8-40 (may need a software update), so a couple of the response above are incorrect I think the option in the menu is "tuner setup" and you get the option to enable and disable the analogue and Digital tuners. If you disable analogue, and leave the digital tuner active then TV turns on your digi tuner. You can then

  • Re: B&O iphone docking ?

I'm another who deosn't understand why anybody would want to dock an ipod/iphone. As stated above it's already on your PC/NAS etc so just connect that into your system. Use an apple TV if you like. Either apple TV or just itunes on a PC will alow you to browse your music colection and select tracks, volume etc using the iphone which is still

  • Re: Apple TV question

I have no idea which remote you have, but if it's a Beo5 you could add a buttome specificaly for music which selects the source and switches to speaker 2.

  • Re: BBC HD from Crystal Palace on BeoVision 10
Surely not another Struer c*ck up!
Nope, it's not a c*ck up at all. The UK have chosen to use DVB-T2, and are the first country in the world to doso. No chipsets are currently available, and as far as I know no manufacturer yet produces a TV with an integrated tuner which will allow people in the UK to

  • Re: BBC HD from Crystal Palace on BeoVision 10

I'm fairly sure it's been stated that due to the broadcast type used for freeview Hd in the UK, none of the B&O HD tuners will work. I don't think any manufacturer yet makes an integrated tuner that will allow you to watch freeview HD in the UK.

  • Re: luron rania & b&o codes

Because they are produced in much smaller quantities, and they need to make back the costs associated with delveloping and producing the product?

  • Re: Blue Lines on Screen Using Sky and BV7-40
That's a fair enough viewpoint Rednik but I think its naieve to make sweeping statements and assumptions about other people who you actually don't know. I am curious, had you of seen the blue lines on the TV in your dealership at the time of purchase, would you still have bought it? Simon.
Yes

When I turn my TV on I am pleased by the motor stand, the curtains, the picture and sound quality, the feel of the remote in my hand. To me these things...
Oh dear. Do you have the same feeling when your TV crashes when watching Sky? It happens here. I'm left holding the remote
