I'm feeling gradually more lucky as we approach First Prize. Mark

Congratulations to everyone who's won so far... I wonder if being online at draw time improves the odds of winning? This is only the second time I've been present while PDB is drawing it out. Strange correllation there. :) Mark

The way us employed folk are trated these days, we don't get to enjoy many bank holidays, either. I'm refusing to work on this one, though. Mark

The heater is internal to the tube. If it has broken, then you need a new tube - expensive. If the problem is lack of heater voltage, that's most likely the Line Output Transformer. Last time I looked for one, they were about £30, and I'd expect an hour or so for labour. Mark

The heater inside the CRT can be checked with a multimeter in a few seconds. Similarly the supply voltage. I'm surprised the techie did not give a definite statement of the fault. Mark

Thank you for the pointers, guys. It would be nice if B&O marked receivers in the STB-C lists as Satellite or Terrestrial, to assist those of us who are shopping! Mark
-
Not even one response - guys, you disappoint me! Mark
