Oh dear, im on deep water :( I only plan tho to change the above caps since playing with the lasersettings seems way to big for me and my friend. But I want to check the currents that you have given me before on the two positions on the PCB30. Do I need to shortcut the PCB5 to servicemode if i just wanna meassure the current? or can i just have the

Hi Martin, I have now got a new WIMA 1.5uf bipolar cap and will try change that (will skip the other caps for now since they prob not are the fault). First I will check the mV-levels as you have told me (will have a friend do that for me) but am i correct in that i need to start the CD with PCB5 open in serviceposition? Do i need to "short-circuit"

Hi Martin, Thanx for all the help, really... you are a goldmine. I will try to change all the other caps too and meassure the voltage as you have described. The CD needs to play a CD then right? or does it also have that current when in stand-by?. On my invoice it says "Laser fault, parts discontinued. Checking of Laser current and Focus offset"

Hello, My original problem with my CD 7000 is that its skipping while playing most of the times. Sometimes it can behave. I have now replaced the 2103 condensator with a new one, but the problem is still there. Is there a chance that it might be any of the other 5 condensator that you have listed here Die_Bogener? Is it worth the work? I mean can it

hehe :D Well i opened it up more or less to be able to see some sort of jolted/defective switch, but to my vain i couldnt see anything bad with it :( so i more or less just checked the function with "fingerpower" and then just touched the switch (prob in order to do something) and since then it has worked with no hickups.... so far, just going

Hi I had a similar problem on my CD 5500, it was too eager to close itself, timed it to around 20 sec or so before it closed itself, see this topic: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/67637.aspx With help of servicemanual on site i opend the case, raised the "mainboard" and even folded down the front panel of the CD-player. The only switch

Thanx for the quick response Die_Bogener, i have a new question tho. The foilecable (white socket at top right corner of pic) is it a lock on it? of can I just pull it gently upward? I dont want to break anything. This is my "old" forumpost why i think its my 2103 that is broken: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/57415.aspx God Jul,

Hello Die_Bogener First of all excuse my poor knowledge in german, but your guides have been very interesting too read. I think my 2103 is broken on my CD 7000 but i cant find any Philips one in Sweden, would this one do? I plan for the 47uF 16V version. http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/setpage.pl?http://www.elfa.se/elfa-bin/dyndok.pl?lang=se&dok=4972

  • Re: Beolab Penta 1 revidieren

@ Turbo / Jens Thanx for this info Jens about Penta-stuff but i have sent you a private mess about another problem i got with a condensator for a Beogram CD 7000, it should be a condensator with specs: 33 uF -10+50% 16V, and it should be axial. In a diffrent thread one get the tip to a Phillips one. (http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/72941.aspx
