Hi, i just took my head out of the back of one of those.... What to keep an eye for with the tube (and i'm sure they know what they sell if they do so for that price so all the reason to be suspicious...) is if the black parts aren't black anymore but starting to show a faint colour (blue, red or green) with or without lines, best visible of

A BV3-32 type 8810 shows an ''empty'' geometry menu, the numbers 1-14 are there but not the parameters... Now i found the option to lock geometry (wonder why they put that in, the type 8800 doesn't have it) but setting this to ''off'' doesn't make a difference. Anyone an idea how to access these Geo parameters

Really ??, because this setting is very unlikely to alter/need adjustment just like that and if you change it it'll change your colour balance (resulting in your white not being white anymore and/or black not being black anymore). If it is a bad tube changing the setting may ''fix'' it for the time being... @Nobby and ts and others

If you're referring to the black cable with the yellow painted 'ring' this is the focus cable and is fixed to the focus control but you detach it on the other end: at the EHT transformer, by lifting out the little plactic ring on top of 1 of the 2 'chimneys' sticking out of the transforner. With 2 small screwdrivers it's possible

From what i recall: yes. Might need some geo adjustments of course and the serial number will be that of the other chassis (as it is in the cpu).

easiest way without having to take out the speaker units: just put a FM radio NOT tuned to any station on the speakers: you'll just hear the static (hissss). Now if you move your ear close to the speaker-units you can hear if it makes noise. If still doubts: just put your hand in between the speaker and your ear and move it in and out (so: in between

Hmmm, it's a bit hard to say anything about it without being able to see it. The while picture tilts (rotates) and other than that no strange things like decolouration ? Maybe you can post a pic ?

Maurice, because you mention the pcb connectors and supply voltages i assume you have seen the inside of (this) tv before and are confident working on tv's. The 140V is only present when the BV3 comes out of standby, otherwise it is around 8V which is there because you have the red light. An easy start can be unplugging the tv (from the mains) and

Hi, in case you didn't know: this is a dealer demo box, to listen to different amps (BM's) onto different speakers. I used to have one but traded it for some other old B&O toy :). As far as i know, you basically connect the BM's with the TAPE in/out (din) to the box and the speaker outputs. There should be more of those around because
