Yes, you do. The combo base station/table charger that exists with Beocom 6000 doesn't with BC 1 - they're separate. Not sure why B&O does this - perhaps better reception, perhaps because it costs more.

NO, the two phones are definitely NOT compatible - the BC6000 is 1-line and the BC1 is 2-line. The BC6000 will also support up to 6 extensions vs. the BC1's 8. The guy at B&O is correct.

I'd try rebooting it. Unplug it and leave it unplugged for serval hours unit it cools down. Then cross your fingers, plug it in, and hope all is well again.

'Loved the episode that was supposed to be a 3-way comparison of a R-R Ghost, Mercedes S65 AMG, and Bentley Mulsanne. Bentley at the last moment refused to lend them a car so they substituted a Yugo and reviewed it as if it were the Bentley. Good stuff..

Did it work properly before? Are you using a Beomaster 5500 receiver? The problem is probably not with the needle/cartridge, as problems here would more likely result in distorted sound or a channel being dead.
