graham....i know..i know...the avant does look big in the corner..and i do have another use for it as a link set.....and it looks "heavy"....but a 30" LCD playing a blue ray..next to a avant playing a standard DVD....would i see a difrence ? andy

yes..sorry....i also have 2 lab 4000, 2 lab 6000 and a sub....so yes surround will be needed to!

hello folks..its friday and i have thought.. now i have an avant 28"..which is big enough for my needs.. but if i wanted to go HD i have been persuaded off BV732..a 40 would be far too big, so another plan occured to me BS3 and a non-B&O panal of 30" or so worth it or not ?...i also have BC2 ( dvd) and the house is master linked,.i am

Ladies and Gentelmen, i am in something of a quandry. Currently i have BV Avant RF VCR 28" and 2 Lab4000 and 2 Lab6000 ( + non B+O sub) in my longe, which is not large and the 28" screen is perfectly adaquate for my purposes, i am also aware that i am over speakered a little to for such a small room, which is may 12x14ft ish. hi i currently have an MX4002 as my link TV and was thinking of replacing with an Avant so i get decent sound with it as well, now i dont mind pressing a few buttons to get DVD, DAB or CD form the downstairs Beocenter 2, or Sky from thr downstairs. so my question is, will any old avant do for this situation, ie just used like a MX4002 ? andy

hello beo-people i have in link room a Beovision MX4002 and I wish to add some loudspeakers to it for when I am listening to music. I could of course get a pair of Beolab 6000`s, nice and simple. BUT..I have always fancied a pair of Penta`s. PentaLab, I guessing I would need Mark 3...am I correct? or I could use a MCLP2 and and run some vox`s....again

speaker stand are 6017`s i think...but is a few years ago !

from memory the base is one unit, but i could be wrong, apprantly i have been wrong twicw today..most odd..))

it is indeed a SC70 cabinet, looks like Teak, expensive bit of kit in its time, sold for Beocenter 5000, 7000 and 7002...the SC77 was for the Beocenter 7700 which was a slightly diffrent profile.... can you tell i worked for plumbs in the 80`s.... andy
