With speaker cables I can see the benefit of having a decent quaity OFC cable with sufficient gauge to ensure minimal resistance, and of making sure you have a very good connection, but that does not mean overly expensive. A few pounds a meter should be the absolute maximum expenditure that could possibly have any benefit. Over that and the marketing

Apologies for the delay in posting the picture. The relative sizes of the S45-2 and the S30 can be seen here, along with a CX100 for reference. The S30 (type 6301) is often found guilty by association with it's later, bulkier, inferior namesake but is IMHO a great little speaker. The more astute amongst you will have noticed that the s30 is upside

Good looking speakers! But... what was the B&o for home???
BeoGram 4000, MMC1 BeoMaster 8000 and MS150.2's. All boxed and mint.
Lee Congratulations! Sounds like a great find. I don't think it gets any better than that for vintage B&O. Simon

Andy Welcome to Beoworld. I am sorry to hear about your father, it sounds like he would have liked it here! Ebay can be a good place to find buyers. Some of this kit is harder to sell than others and nearly all of it will be quite hard to post so it would be useful if you could tell us where to live. Condition is really important with second-hand B&O

They seem to have a new product coming that may be better (there is a picture of an unidentified headphone on the P5 brochure), so until then

I think the £75 may refer to the kit to upgrade a Mk1 to Mk2 which (I think) is replacing most of the phones innards, so £75 isn't unreasonable. Simon
