I'm very enthusiastic about the BV-8, and the 40" one has a wonderful picture. It depends on where you want to place the TV - I'm looking for a wall to put a BV-10 against, and have a BV-8 on a floor stand.

Just a minor item when it comes to "doesn't work on all websites." Flash is the devil's protocol. It is proprietary, it hogs CPU and it empties batteries. It is also a vehicle for anyone wanting to snoop on what you are doing on your computer, and for those who wish to siphon your user habits for various uses. Unfortunately, it was

The Chinese are willing to spend a fortune, and preferably two, for items seen to be luxurious success statements by others. The products must have cachet and be associated with individuals or organizations that have unquestionable Fu. RR is a cinch in that respect. And what is being charged for rare vintage wines at the exclusive Shanghai restaurants

This is not an Apple issue, and shouldn't be a discussion about them. It's about a company that's had a hard time deciding what it should be doing, and which has tried to do them all, with stretched resources. As evidenced by the "experts disagreeing" link from business.dk Nr. 1. B&O needs to go hyperluxury and focus on China
-
Isn't this the kind of foolish uninformed closed mindedness that has landed B&O in the trouble it finds itself in. Apple has devised a standard for transmitting, storing, controlling and recovering digital information. It is up to any manufacturer to accommodate for this system, just as in a/v they previously accommodated for musicassettes,
This is one tough thread to read. Kalle, you did a wonderful job. Lets hope in the 4 months you are still around, you can get this kid on the right track.
Well, I'm not despairing. This is a deeply schizophrenic company, capable of delivering the world's best car audio and the BL5s, and able to put out
My computer and hi-fi are separate and I intend them to stay that way. I have no interest in downloads, MP3s, streaming or any of this sort of stuff and so it appears that there will be less and less in the B&O range to interest me, which seems a shame. Still, there's plenty of nice secondhand equipment out there
-
Was B&O ever traditional luxury, or was it extremely well made and superbly thought-out high-quality A/V, accessible to anyone willing to pay to experience the best? I think there's a difference. A lot of luxury brands and products are just fluff, made to be luxury because of an insane price differential and because they happen to be favored

Best of both worlds. I'm setting up a purist analog listening room, with a Beolab 5000, Beogram 3000 Thorens, good speakers, and where I will have reel-to-reel in addition. A vintage room for the musical brilliance of the 50s/60s in jazz and classical and popular, with a nice record collection. And then there's my other listening room, multichannel

Where to start? The childish opening logo sequence, copied from BBC World, the bad lighting, Hvidt Nielsen looking shell shocked but taking one for the team, Tue Mantoni with his collar poking out and mixing up Triumph and B&O (didn't they have time for another take?). I would recommend that B&O make an intro that shows a B&O set-up
