  • Re: Boegram 8002 - problem

As the needle traces the record grooves, it will start to drift inward very slowly. Then as the needle follows the record inward, the arm will start to angle inward. When the arm angles inward by a small amount, it triggers a switch (I think it's a solenoid switch, can't remember), which then causes the carriage motor to move the whole tone

  • Re: gray Beolab 9

If you look closely you'll see the top one is a little lighter in color. The problem is that B&O probably does what many other manufacturers do - use one photograph, and then photoshop the different colors on. An actual photo of them in someone's room would probably be a more realistic interpretation. Nothing against B&Ola of course

Durban, I recently learned the hard way that although the CD4 can replace your need for an RIAA amp it doesn't amplify the sound to full line level power anyway. I normally listen to my pentas at about 35 to 45 in volume level. At first I thought the CD4 on my 4002 wasn't working. I had the 4002 connected directly to the aux input of my 4500

  • Re: BV7-40 Bluray?

  • Re: JULY 2008 PRIZE DRAW - coincidence?

Well I'd never suspect Lee or Peter of rigging the draw, but I have wondered whether it could ever be possible for a member to somehow accidentally not be included in the draw because of a glitch or typo, just like how some gold members never received renewal reminders. Congrats to the winners though! Austin

  • Re: Obscure product?

I think the all-black MCP was pretty obscure/rare. There was a member on here who had one. Austin
