  • Re: SMMC20EN

Wonderful idea! I dare say you could start a side business doing this! :)

  • Re: Beomaster 2400 hinge

Thanks for the info! Both the 2400's I've seen seem to have very "goopy" (klæbrig) grease, so I wondered if it had just aged poorly. Is it normal for the grease to be seen on the hinge when open? Looks like a nasty experience if you touched it by mistake... but I wonder if these two sets had some other kind of improper lubricant added in at a later

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 TV does not power up

I guessed from your first message that you were North American, so keep in mind your set is very different from the European MX series. The good news is that there is a repair guide for these sets online for Silver/Gold members, together with the original Service Manual. We also have a Canadian member who is an expert and who has repaired his own set

  • Beomaster 2400 hinge

How did the original hinge for the Programming panel work on these Beomasters? The two 2400 I've seen had a kind of sticky, viscous grease that supplied enough friction to prevent the lid from falling closed too quickly. But a later model (the 2000) had an actual spring and a lid release button. Does the 2400 just rely on the user to push the Programming

  • Re: AV7000 questions

You will also need an audio master in order for the BeoGram to function in this setup.

  • Re: Beogram 4002 type 5503 platter noise, height and levelness.

There is a three-axis adjustment to level the platter flush with the metal plate. The full service manual is on the site for Silver and Gold members, here's a peek: You will need to remove the cartridge before you attempt this to avoid any damage. To remove the top parts, first gently pull the rear sides of the wood surround out a little bit and then

  • Re: Quick Questions - Ouverture & 2500

Yes, if you look hard enough you can find two-way 2300's that have the newer, linear CD mechanism. Best of both worlds!

  • Re: Use of Beomaster 7000 with 5500 components

Holdon everyone -- if the question is whether you can replace a BeoMaster of any kind with an AV7000, the answer is no: the AV7000 is not an audio master and has no connections for extra audio equipment such as the CD, Tape and Phono. It may look similar to a BeoMaster 7000, but it's really not!

  • Re: Passar MX väggbeslag till en LX ?

Så vitt jag vet var det bara det mindre slags MX-model som kunde fästas på väggen (21"). Den tillverkades någonting åt större modeler men det var bara för butiker med ett särskilt väggsystem.

  • Re: connecting beocenter 9000 to beomaster 6500 -possible? practical?!!

You can accomplish this in a simpler fashion by getting cables from your dealer that attenuate the amplified signal down to line-level, and plug into the RCA jack on the back of most BeoLabs.
