The BeoSound 5 only has Options 0 & 1, though it "looks" like something different since you select in in a menu (unlike the other products which get option programmed from a remote). Audio Master: Yes = Option 1, No = Option 0 Whenever another product or products are involved, it is placed in Option 0 and acts as a client. Nothing is displayed

I'll grant that in some sense it's beautiful to look at, but it's just unusable. I do like the form factor (that it's more a widget than a program), but the likelihood of it being advanced to the point that we'd be satisfied with it as a true alternative to WMP or iTunes. It's like the Serene. It's beautiful and unique enough

Totally agree. I think it would make more sense if the list started with the first song every time you engaged it.

What are you doing wrong? Using BeoPlayer! (Zing!) Seriously, though. Even though iTunes content is currently "DRM Free" it is still downloaded in the audio container .m4a. This format is not compatible outside the iTunes universe. You can create mp3 versions in iTunes (which is a bit of a pain as it duplicates the entire downloaded collection

Truly the very worst thing we've ever done. I don't think any single product has given me as much frustration as this total piece of garbage.

Most BeoLab speakers are pretty expensive, so the most budget friendly way to go would be to find a Passive Kit second hand (a few hundred bucks) and connect it to the system via PowerLink cable. I'm with JK. iPhone as a remote leaves a lot to be desired. It goes to sleep and has to be woken up, re-connected, and then you're left with a daunting list to "gesture" through. It's the same reason the Beo 5 would make a lousy platform for browsing. There just isn't enough real-estate to browse a serious collection conveniently

You're right. I didn't mean to indicate that we'll see one soon , only that we will see them along the same timeline as our OEM manufacturers roll them out. I.e. if Samsung rolls out a 32" in 2011, we won't wait until 2015 to implement it. Of course that's talk at this point, but I've seen enough concrete developments in
