Your BS9000 is a Mk2. I need the serial number to determine it's exact age. Serial number can be found under the keypad. Any version of powerlink cables will suit the BS9000/BL8000 combination. A flat bladed screwdriver will do for adjusting the sprung suspension. You do not need a special tool. The arrows on the screwhead should point vertical

Let's hope it arrives OK! In the event that it arrives with the glass smashed or the sliding doors off track and the drive strings tangled up, what will your recommendation be then? Yes, you're right. Travelling problems aside, I too would go for the BC9500, my favourite Beocenter. However, in the event that one of mine develops a fault that
Steve 2500 = no passive speakers, hence the small size. I suppose you could get one of the MCLP2 amp thingies, but not worth it IMO. Would definitely go for the 9500, though you'll have to get a pre-amp I suspect as if I remember correctly there's not one on board as it was built into the 9500 turntable (someone
Is there a way to fit 9000 brushed aluminium panels to a 9500? Is there a genius to do that here? I am so nostalgic of my first 9000 but I don't want to miss the 9500's bidirectional IR and PowerLink connections... Thanks and regards, js
I would say that this is perfectly possible and relatively easy. The

Different finish. 9000 had brushed aluminium the 9300 has matt.

Quite correct Peter I 'm all mixed up this afternoon. Must be the Man United result upsetting me!

This may be what you need Peter although I'm not sure that it passes the Datalink signal http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-WAY-AUDIO-INPUT-SWITCH-BOX-FOR-BANG-OLUFSEN-B-O_W0QQitemZ220533337400QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioVisualElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_CompleteHifiSystems?hash=item3358cfad38

Earlier 9300's had polished panels and the later ones had matt panels.

Only the later examples had the later, so called improved (linear) CD mechanism. Most 9300 appear to have the same CD as the 9500. I am yet to be convinced that the CD performance or indeed the amplifier is any better in one or the other! Since 2 way communication does nothing for me, I would probably buy a 9300 from as near to 2001 as possible on grounds
