Hi Jon, no - the tracking force/balance is set without the cover on. If it worries you, there is a cover for sale on ebay UK at the minute (how they can justify the £1.99 postage costs is another matter though) but I'm fairly sure someone on Beoworld may have a spare they would give you. Chris.

You can either swap the power supplies or change the "jumpers" on the one in the RX2 to make it compatible for 220 V. If you aren't sure how to change the jumpers then it would probably be safest to simply swap them over though and at least you know it will be set right for your power supply. The transformer output voltage is the same

There's a rather nice looking MC20/30/40 cabinet for sale on ebay UK at the minute but unfortunately (or possibly not) it is part of a whole system. May be worth emailling the seller though and ask if he'll sell it seperately. Just tell him that most sellers struggle to give these cabinets away and you be in with a chance. Oh, nearly forgot

Hi Scott, the correct sequence for the wires in a 5pin DIN plug are :- Pin 2 common ground. Pin 3 Left channel. Pin 5 Right channel. There should also be a ground (or as we in the UK call - earth) from the turntable chassis which is the sheilding wire of the cable and needs to be soldered to the metal outer case of the plug or you will get humming.

The transport locks are actually under the platter. They are 3 discs with slotted holes which turn allowing you to access the transport screws via a hole - these screw upwards through the hole (anti clockwise) until they clear the plate. Then turn the plate and screw the screws downwards until they lock the sub assembly. As for securing the tonearm
