Probably easier if the truth be known. It will need servicing though - they all do - but it is much better made and you will love it. I have 3 400X type decks and love them all! I am selling the 7000 as it was just sitting in its boxes and quite frankly the money would be useful. I have a 5500 system which I use every day and is slightly more useful

I believe the BS4 simply has one jumper switch to change - no transformer necessary. You would no doubt be charged for this but it would be less than a transformer I would hope and much more efficient. Or make it a condition of the sale that this is done in the US. Have a look at the service manual on site.

The 7000 system at Lifestyle is actually mine and is the one that is always pictured when systems are sold on eBay!! It has however never appeared before. It has a TDA1541A DAC (not all do!) and is a beauty. However as an entry model I would consider a Beomaster 4400 and S45-2 speakers with a Begram 4002 turntable and a CDX CD player. This will sound

Do you mean the TViX ? This is a third party device with a built in PUC so that it is supposed to work seamlessly. I can be hidden away - at the BV10 launch, it was attached to the stand of the BV10. The device that works best with any of my TVs has been the Sky+ or HD box. It might as well be part of the TV.

As far as I am aware, there is no real difference in sound quality. The 4000s in my opinion are far superior sonically, especially the Mk1s. You do lose the display though. 4000s are in my opinion the unsung heroes of the Beolab range - compact but quite powerful enough and plenty of bass. They are now available at a good price too.

The dealer is not completely correct. If you can prove that this is your system then the dealer contacts Struer who will send you the master code for this product by post. This will allow you to reset the product. No dealer will order this without checking that the device is not stolen. If you can show that this is the case, I see no reason why you

Can you not set Windows to act as XP - I thought there was a facility to do this for just such scenarios. Obviously the problem is with B&O as they should update the software ...... On the Balkan forum thought, we did actually have more languages but stopped some simply because the traffic was so small and it was inpossible to moderate these forums

We don't have the 3000 manual but the Beocenter 3500 is on and the operation is identical (except for the record player!) I would not recap anything at present - enjoy it first. AFC should be off when you tune and switched on once the channels you want are set. It keeps the tuning steady. A little alcohol on cotton wool or simply some detergent

Well done! B&O software does seem a little temperamental mind you!

I suppose you could use the tape out - there are lots of connections on the 5000 so take your pick! There is also a line out in both DIN and RCA.
