Do you mean the TViX ? This is a third party device with a built in PUC so that it is supposed to work seamlessly. I can be hidden away - at the BV10 launch, it was attached to the stand of the BV10. The device that works best with any of my TVs has been the Sky+ or HD box. It might as well be part of the TV.

As far as I am aware, there is no real difference in sound quality. The 4000s in my opinion are far superior sonically, especially the Mk1s. You do lose the display though. 4000s are in my opinion the unsung heroes of the Beolab range - compact but quite powerful enough and plenty of bass. They are now available at a good price too.

We don't have the 3000 manual but the Beocenter 3500 is on and the operation is identical (except for the record player!) I would not recap anything at present - enjoy it first.
