• Re: Panel Signal Output issue solved - Beovision 7-40 MK IV
With your previous posts of frustration in mind, also regarding this issue, I am surprised to find that it was on the bottom of your list...
Only because I knew it was a genuine sw-related error and that even B&O couldn't release a 100Hz panel-based TV that wasn't really 100Hz. It's the panel

  • Re: Panel Signal Output issue solved - Beovision 7-40 MK IV
The signal IS in fact displaying 100HZ. The latest software upgrade (already out) adresses this issue. So - one less thing to worry about....
Were you worried about it? It was probably bottom of my MKIV list! I received my replacement MKIV yesterday and it still shows 50Hz, so no idea which sw revision fixes

  • Re: no sound with sky+hd connected to beovision 7

The problem with DVI is that it can't handle sound, as you've found out :( The audio L/R cables should work though. Have you selected AV4 as your Sky option within your connection settings and then sound input -> YPdPr? Without this, it won't recognise sound through the AV4 input.

  • Re: Showing off my new BV7-40
Although I would hardly call the 7.4 speaker "Basic"
I think you misinterpret my use of 'basic'. If it's used on its own, it's limited in capability. It's designed as central mono speaker. I don't know why we have to turn frequent Beoworld discussions in to debates about our use

  • Re: Beovision 7 firmware
(apart from going to a dealer)
You have to go to a dealer, realistically. If you don't, B&O will charge you serious dosh to fix your TV if you try and do it yourself. Just pay your dealer for an hours worth of engineering time!

  • Re: Showing off my new BV7-40
But I am now over the moon with it, the picture is far better, does not suffer from the 'BV8 Opera effect'. The BV7.4 speaker is just the best :-)
Congratulations. When B&O get the BV7-40 right - like the MKIII I have right now, which is flawless - it's a superb TV. However, do you realise the

  • Re: Beolab 8000 + Lab 2 V Beolab 9
I'd vote for the 'BeoLab 9s by themselves' option.
I'd also go with this option. I had the BL2, BL9s and 7.4 with my BV7-40 and BL2 was overkill. Disconnected it for a few months, then traded it in against something else (Beocenter 2, if I can remember...). BL9/7.4 option is superb.

  • Re: Panning on BV7 MK3
Hence my Apple TV purchase rather than Beosound 5
I bought a Beosound 5, albeit discounted, and am regretting the decision. Does absolutely nothing more than I can do with my Mac Mini plus Airport Express. Indeed, I can stream audio all around the house, to various audio devices, using the Mac Mini. Beosound

No, I don't have a projector. BTW aren't you sick of all these BV7-40 issues we're having? You're more patient than me. I had a right go at my dealer this morning!

  • Re: Panning on BV7 MK3
i thought this had been fixed in software 4.24???
It has on the MKIV, partly thanks to the 100Hz screen. When I received the MKIV, that's one of the first things I noticed - now I'm back on the MKIII, panning and fast camera movement (particularly for sport) is less smooth. Camera panning was improved
