I would think that for 5.1 listening a lens based speaker makes good sense because of their horizontal dispersion charateristic and therefore a 7.4 is a better option than the stereo "bar" 7's. If however you have the TV set up as a "stand alone" TV then the stereo 7.1, 7.2 or 7.6 makes more sense. Playing stereo audio through

There may be a black Market business opportunity for forged "made in Denmark" stickers to be used when selling on!
I don't have experience with MOTS, but I have with Mood agent. I actually quite like the idea, but it doesn't work well. At least not with the music I have stored on my Iphone. I hope MOTS is better.
There's always iTunes Genius, not quite as "sophisticated" as the MOTS algorithm, but I'm
BL9 also from Czech BS9000 from Denmark
And I rest my case, before it was announced that the BL5's, 9's & 3's are made in Czech, no one hade a bad word to say about them. It seems then that the issue isn't product related - if B&O are looking after their shareholders, what does this mean

I guess I'll soon find out when I get a chance to procur these and do some testing!
I would think a single Lab3 would suffice, because of the lens - I would definitely try it first before mounting
Are you sure about Beolabs made in Denmark? My BeoLab 5 from Summer 2009 has a sticker with: "Country of Origin: Czech" Same with BeoLab 3!
Ooh - that could cause an upset!
FlatpanelsDK is somewhat positive to B&O, but they test loads of stuff, and they should have a far better experience when comparing picture etc, than most of us.
Ture enough, but I wonder if they would be as generous to another manufacturer if their TV's picture was a little on the blue side and couldn't

I don't doubt it's a good TV but almost 1/3 of the text sounds awfully like marketing spiel - it could almost be a press release!

Earlier I mentioned socio-political reasons for maintaining a manufacturing industry. An interesting side question that arises is - Is a publicly traded company's primary responsibility to it's shareholders or it's customers?

I'm really intrigued by the "must be assembled in Denmark or I won't buy it" viewpoint. If I was to be concerned, I would worry more about the source and quality of the components and materials used in the assembly rather than the location of final assembly itself. I can understand the "Danish furniture" analogy but modern
