A white Beocenter 2800 is very rare. Actually, I'm not sure if I ever saw one before this. For a serious collector, this one is easily worth restoring ! Martin

It's a steel-wire with a spring at one end. It has a pressed loop at the other end and a tied knot at a certain place near the center of the wire to grip into a sequence gear. Sadly, I don't think I have a spare wire at the moment but I will take a look. The same part is found in Beogram 3000/3300/3500/4500/5500 and a couple others. Martin

Sounds like the spring has been twisted by a previous "repairer". You may or may not be able to twist it back. Take out the spring and note which way it should go in again. Twist both ends to give a greater tension and fit it again. If the spring was twisted several times already, as you suggest, it may have lost it's effect and we will

I am not sure about the CMOS versions. I seem to remember something about the remote control not working properly but it was many years ago and I may remember wrong. Anyways, I have a little stock of SAB 8032A-16-P and SAB 8032B-16-P (both Siemens) if everything else fails. Martin
