Doesn't sound good, but on the other hand there's a lot going on in the BeoVision 9. I believe that if you look at the BeoSystem 3 on the back of the BeoVision 9 you can actually see the DVI plugged in. I would check this connection. Same goes for the RS-232 which is responsible for turning the screen on. Beyond that I'd leave it to your

@ Beofan2 - No, the new audio product is going to be the iPod dock that will serve as the "BeoMaster 5" for the BeoSound 5. I haven't heard a definitive answer as to whether it will act as an additional source as well as an alternative. If it precludes the use of the BeoMaster 5 it will truly be stupid. If it augments the system in addition

Another example of poor customer service. If Apple can pay people $7 and hour and give a great experience B&O should certainly be able to do better than unreturned phone calls. It's a real shame.

Claudiu brings up an excellent point about adding additional BeoSound 5s to a BeoMaster 5 which highlights the fundamental flaw in how this two piece system is designed. The BeoSound 5 is just a monitor & mouse. It could really be said that the BeoSound 5 is a software program running on the BeoMaster 5. If the "intelligence" was transferred

The quality is serviceable. Some say good. My major problem with it is that if you use it how it's meant to be used you wind up with a hell of a bill at the end of the month. Rentals can be up to $6 for HD! Is it any wonder why Bit Torrent is so popular? I recently put 2 of my 3 Apple TVs out to pasture in favor of WD Media boxes w/ LaCie drives

John, I figured that had to be the issue. In that case your point really does stand that the Avant & a few other well forged CRT sets still blow away the flat panels. Size is not really a viable factor in the debate I suppose, but I'm still pleased as punch with my Avant and actually glad that I still have SD options in many cases as well. As

Thought I'd lay out a few little ideas I've had recently. I think we all play the wishing game now and again, so here's a dealer's perspective on the products I'd like to see, both entirely new and modifications to the existing lineup. I'd like to hear comments and see what everyone else is longing for from the B&O of our

[quote user="j0hnbarker"] [quote user="moxxey"] I don't see the 'point' you are trying to make? Almost as if you're convincing yourself you don't more than a 32", HD, Blu-ray and so on. My old BV7-32 is tiny compared to the 40". I prefer the 40". I'm not saying I want anything larger than that

Sal, the "direct distribution" does refer to the fact that we no longer keep inventory between the shops and the factory. This is fairly common these days and has as much to do with new management as the economy.
