Steve at Sounds Heavenly: KingOfSnake: I'll go for Beosound 9000 looks, Blu Ray/DVD/CD drive, Hard Drive to store audio (perhaps external if it would spoil the slim lines of the BS9000), DAB/FM Radio, Touchscreen interface displaying album covers/Information with DVI output for external monitor display. Spot on! Give me a Beosound 9000 that will

There are a few potential problems with running to the BL5s - I know, as I have tried. If you're using the Beo4 or similar to control the units, and you are also using a non-B&O master together with a B&O audiomaster, you get conflicts. For non-B&O, the Beo4 uses RADIO to initiate the BL5s, but then you'll start the BS9000. You can

Nice - are you working on a solution for AppleTV/Mac mini?

Rumours abounding about a new, upgraded Mac mini to be launched in January ... for those willing to wait. The combination of AppleTV and Mac mini is first class.

Or the other way around, all your B&O controlled with Touch-interactivity (could even be in a distinct B&O version, as long as it has the functionality.) You place the unit in your Ouverture, and can control music there, or you remove it, and control your A/V playback throughout the house ... That's where things are going. Lutron's not

Been contemplating doing this with a BeoCenter 9500 ... replacing the tape-innards. But this is actually nice - interesting to have the unit visible. Don't think I'd put an iPhone there, though ... ... perfect for the Touch.

It's not unique for this unit - all high-end audio units have quite standard cabling between interior components -- which is why I find it so amusing when hifi-dealers try to sell you super expensive interconnects with dimensions approaching that of my wrist. Kudos to B&O for not falling into the trap of talking its customers into spending fortunes

Hi Jeff, good critique. Last year, I was in a position to ask about storage for BS5, and was informed that it would be possible to supplement it with NAS-units. Totally agree that 500GB is in the low-end ... Two-way is an item of its own. B&O made the decision to ditch two-way some years ago, and it's taken them a while to accept that they need

All you need is a code-translator, which takes your B&O remote ir-commands and turns them into universal ir-commands. irTrans sells the box you need. Make sure you get the one that understands B&O. http://www.irtrans.de/en/technicalinfo/translator.php
