• Re: An Apology to the Community

Well as i've said to your before i quite enjoy your colourful posts! I feel sad for those who feel they are being judged, alcoholism is frighteningly common, and i think most of us have experienced it at some point in our lives. I personally used to drink a bottle of wine everyday for lunch in year 11 !! Got over it though, eventually, and life

  • Re: Will you buy new B&O products - recession

What recession? That's what we've been saying - nothing is different! I'm still getting paid the same, lots of customers, and any time soon i'll be dropping 5.5k on a pair of BL1's if iconic AV reply my emails!

  • Re: Beosound 1 - Funny noises

It has something to do with the temperature of the room, the B&O technicians would have a heated space to be working in, i live in a warm climate, and never heard the crackling sound, as the temperature didn't really change. Are you guys in a cold room when this sound occurs?

  • Re: Beosound 1 - Funny noises

Yeah i didn't experience any crackling, but maybe it's the CD part cooling. Mine has a high pitched hiss from the power supply, doesn't sound like your problem is serious, just irritating. Dude 1 of course they didn't hear it, they'd have to spend hours and fix it

  • Re: Beocenter 2 help needed - power cable doesnt fit socket box!

Guys it wasn't the cable, click on the first picture, it was taken with a glotious camera, you can see the fault of the product, a couple of milimetres of the socket is covered!! The square socket accepts the normal fig-8 cable. :) kevnick i would have taken the thinkg back to B&O to fix for you under warranty as it was a fault on the product

OK, it has nothing to do with the square shape of the socket. That is normal and does not affect the fitment of the plug, you need to roll up your sleeves and try to jiggle it in (push the plug in at an angle to get around that over lap), because as you can clearly see in the photo, the product has a fault in it's build and the metal casing is interrupting

Well that socket is the same shape as all of my B&O, try harder to get that plug in, i do not see how it can't fit - don't be scared to jiggle a bit and use some force! The socket is definitely crooked, but there should be some movement for you to jiggle the plug in
(re:Pentas) I'll have to say they've aged gracefully. If they were introduced today, they'd still look just as stunning as they did in mid 80's.
Yeah... that's a sure thing!
Dave Take heart - I had a twenty year old pair of Beovox Pentas shipped from Sweden to the UK by surface mail in their original B&O crates and they arrived in 100% A1 condition. Get those boxes and you'll be fine. Good luck :)
Oh that's right, if i am getting them from over seas i will be having
