Yes, it works, and there are various cables available. You want a five or seven pin DIN to RCA converter cable. You won't need more than five pins, as the others are not for audio. Have a look here, they're a reliable company. I use them myself. http://flashbacksales.co.uk/acatalog/5-pin-din-phono-rca-cables.html And congrat's with your

Personally, given the imploding economy, I find the cost issue moot. We'll have a divergence between those who have silly money to spend, and those who don't. And as Trip said above, B&O's chain of dealerships is probably irrelevant if the company thinks it's going to survive by providing to those with silly money to spend - those

Jitter is not an issue. Jitter is not an issue. Jitter is not an issue - unless the components are defect. Today's off-the-shelf El Cheapo cd-transport from any OEM manufacturer will handle the signal perfectly, as far as human perception is concerned. Jitter is only a carry-over from the wow&flutter days of record players, and it's the

I feel a little sorry for B&O on the DAB-issue. First they were against incorporating it, because they felt that the quality of the audio was not good enough -- then they did bow to demand, just as internet radio was taking off much more than originally considered when DAB was first proposed. I get much better quality over internet radio than through

I'm convinced the answer is for B&O to begin thinking outside of the simplistic A/V Consumer Electronics categories. Consider the implications of what's in this film - re-recordings of famous pianists' interpretations, but on modern pianos, with modern recording techniques. I'd buy that from B&O, as well as other exclusive content

koning: What would be the mean reason for B&O for not using FLAC.???? Same as for Apple. It's not a standardized format, the source code is not certified and one could risk that by using it, you would suddenly be hit with a major lawsuit from someone who claims you have misappropriated their code ...

Roger: To me, the first photos seem to be of the 8-40 while the last in white could be the 8-26 or 8-32... The 8-40 can't get by with the old 8-32 stand (unless you bolt it to the floor). Roger Exactly - the dimensions will unbalance the stand, unless the foot is extended. But I wouldn't be surprised if the new stand has the same angle as the

Yes and no, Ignace. Would be interesting to know what the designer thinks of the new stand - there's a reason why Lewis created the original one ... but until we see a side-view, we're basically just spouting nonsense here.
-
They've repositioned themselves with a new stand for the BV-8, apparently.

The old stand was perfectly proportioned and turned the tv into a sculpture, this one is proportioned for something else. Anyone have a side view?
