• Re: Beogram 5005 For Sale

Hi Spiros Thanks for your message. I'm only looking for a Beosound 2 I am afraid, so I'll have to say no on this occasion. If you want the deck you are more than welcome to make me an offer for it though :)

  • Beogram 5005 For Sale

Mint Beogram 5005 for sale minus MMC cartridge. Bought from Lifestyle three years ago and is cosmetically very good and plays beautifully. Lack of space means this needs to go to a new home. Photos are available on request. Happy to take offers before I bung it on eBay. Would consider a swap for a Beosound 2 + A8s if anyone fancies getting away from

  • Re: Whats Playing Now thread - pre-moderated

'Mushroom' from CAN's Tago Mago is playing on the Beogram 8002. Probably the 'best' bit of vinyl I own as most of it was second hand, but this was bought new a few years ago and is rarely played :)
THESE will fit the bill very nicely. I wouldn't normally advise buying these having had the original drivers replaced but at £40 they're a real bargain. Chris.
Nothing wrong with replacement Peerless drivers - I can vouch for the ones I have in my MC120.2s. I'd snap these up if I were you

  • Re: Any mathematicians out there?
I'm sorry to repeat myself, but it really is as simple as this:
Of course, the real probability for winning at least one prize is larger, because you are not excluded once you have already won. Unless we want to get into binomials, it's easiest to calculate the probability of not

  • Re: Any mathematicians out there?

I'm not exactly Mr Maths, but I think it could be argued to be misleading to quote the figures across the year. As each draw is a random event that has no bearing on those that pro/preceded it, then the chances of winning are straightforward in that they're 1/550. As no one is knocked out after each one of the ten monthly draws has taken place

  • Re: Any mathematicians out there?

Sorry Gents - you're both wrong! Each prize draw is a completely random event, and therefore you cannot add up individual probabilities to give you a grand total of probabilities over a given time period. So the chances of winning are always the same - i.e. whatever the chances are for each prize draw (1 in 550 according to Lee's figures). The

  • Re: Wireless music on older systems

Richard - I have a Beomaster 900M in my home office connected to an Airport Express that I use with both our Mac laptops. All you need is an iPod to B&O cable to run from the 3.5mm phones jack on the Airport Express to the Beomaster, and a computer capable of streaming wirelessly to the Airport Express base station. It does help if you have a Mac
