The cabinet of 6500/7000 is identical, also inside the deck. But not the 5500, it's completely different, inside and outside. All drives are different, 5500, 6500 and 7000 are NOT identical. 6500 and 7000 look quite the same... but it is not the same. The board on the drive ist different and the cable connector is different (180 degree mirror).

Maybe the S-VHS mode is activated? Shift-9 is a toggle function.

The MX5000 has no degauss function leke the newer MX models. But it can be repaired, you need a degauss tool from your tv shop, usually it is possible to lend this tool for small money.

Versuche nicht, die Potis zu öffnen. Das Plastikgehäuse ist sowas von spröde, es zerbricht sofort und es ist nicht reparabel. Kleber oder so Zeug geht nicht, Spannungsüberschlag... Die Potis gibt's noch neu von B&O, so etwa 65 Euro. Geliefert werden Philips Potis, die neuere und letzte Variante wie bei den letzten MX Geräten

Ulf, bei dem MX 6000 hab ich das zig mal probiert. Ist aber egal, Video 2 und Audio 0 bringen mir das Ergebnis, das ich brauche. Ausserdem rüste ich den MX von der neueren M2.0 OneWay auf die 1.1 TwoWay zurück. Macht viel mehr Spaß mit der BL7000. Da hat man wenigstens was zum Gucken wenn man beim Zappen die Sender durchblättert

Sei mit dem Poti sehr vorsichtig. Ja, es gibt sie noch neu... sauteuer, etwa 45 Euro. Und nicht mehr einfach beschaffbar... Mit den MKS repariere ich eigentlich jedes Gerät. Bis etwa 1uF sind sie ja noch relativ preiswert, darüber wird der Preis ja richtig grob. Der 1uF Wima ist ja noch so um die 30-40 Cent beschaffbar, der 10uf mit rund 5

Funktioniert einwandfrei. Toll, hab's gerade mit meinem Bastel MX5500 Version 2.2P und einem BM6500 1.3 überprüft.Es läuft perfekt. Warum macht dann mein MX6000 2.0S und der BM7000 sowas von verkehrt? Genau das ist mein einziges Audio/Video-Linksystem das ich überhaupt benutze. Alles andere sind Einzelgeräte ohne Vernetzung

Probiere da auch mal per Scart Anschluss. Wenn der Ton per Scart einwandfrei geht, ist es wahrscheinlich der Tuner... oder das vierpolige Kabel zum Tuner. Im Tuner sind etliche kleine 1uf Elkos, die neigen zum austrocknen und sind auch die Koppelkondensatoren, ausserdem werden sie zur Ankoppelung des Tondecoders verwendet. Die würde ich mal verdächtigen
