B&O have always had a certain flair - the Hyperbo 5 RG Steel being a very obvious example. The reason that B&O became more popular in the 60s was the export market. Before this B&O really were a Danish producer and concentrated on the home market. Products like the 900 suddenly introduced B&O to the world.

Very nice! I would get the cubes though! They do make quite a difference - very useful for widening the sound stage. Very interesting collection - I think this era may well be the high point in build quality which started to drop at the end of the 70s.

Could we have a scan for the site?

Seems a lot for one that is broken! €175 would be OK if it all worked!

He should have listed the cubes separately - would have made a lot more.

I agree - a stinker! And no internal battery so any loss of power and the time resets! A thorough pain! I though the 8000 would wind you up! However I stick to my thoughts. Remove the heat sinks and put the power amplifier out of sight, and I agree about the aluminium and perspex design. Had one for years but prefer other systems. It is also far too

I wish we had a voting option build in the forum but we don't. It would be nice to see different opinions and a list less subjective than mine. A nice weekend to all of you!

I cannot remember if my first buy was a Beolit 505 or my Beosystem 2400. Both were bought new from Windows of the Arcade - a wonderful shop with wonderful staff. I had seen the 2400 and fallen in love with it so bought that, a Beogram 1902 and Beovox P30s. Lovely system and still one of the best looking.
