Hello, I finally got the rubber stops from a nice dealer, 1.25 € each, but if they obviously fit perfectly on my BG turntables, the ones on the CDX and CD-3300 are different (the holes are much bigger) so they have to be glued in place... Does anyone have the actual references for the CD player ones? Thanks

Hello! Thanks to Chris I finally had my display working completely! I changed the whole board. It had quite a few bad solder joints as expected of course. It didn't work first time, silly me, I had missed a few more bad solders (no stop, no repeat—I had focussed on the leds). My original PCB presented the same symptoms, even if it was one

Thanks. I have a Philips CD 582, it is virtually the same as yours (no FTS). I know it well! My CD3300 also has the 16-bit 2nd gen. chipset, and it sounds like the Philips, but has superior op-amps to the usual—and not so bad, really—NE5532. The CDX I've fallen in love with (what a musical device!) is an altogether different machine

Hello, It's true, a spring is missing and I think this is a design mistake: it is indeed present on CDX players. As for the question mark, I solved this problem by resoldering a few dry joints on the PCB (in the servo area), you have to inspect it with a slide magnifying glass. Also I had a bad PSU relay (the one that links AC to the main PCB).

Okay, I renewed the PSU caps (when doubt seizes you...), but it makes no difference!

Thank you Auric. 1) No problem, the belt is new, supplied by Dillen, 2) I fixed that long ago, that was the most obvious problem (rattling noise) which is the consequence of sliding bearings in the cracked plastic housing. The caps are now all replaced, except for the PSU ones (the two 1000μF and the big 4700μF) which are still good (checked filtering

The Beocord 8000 is still working fine. I still have this very short squeal when I turn REC OPEN off on one channel, but recording is okay. Speed stability isn't first class however , in spite of total re-lubrication (I did that on my superb BC 6000 to great effect), rubber parts cleaning, and new belts. Hello everyone, I now have a nice, near-mint CDX and I love it. It sounds so unlike other CD players! Mellifluous and musical, a bit soft maybe but involving and enjoyable. After years of harsh CD sound this is a relief. Those Philips engineers were so right the first time around! Anyway, on another site I saw it is possible to improve the beast yet

Another Beocord saved! I received Martin's belts and motor today, a new LF347 and we're back in business! I'll never know why the IC burnt in the fist place. I also had to change all PSU-related red ROE caps, all shorted... of course! Thanks to all. Edit: the deck plays correctly, but there's too much treble in recordings regardless
