So I finally disabled several blocking functions (of which I do not know exactly what they do) from my firewall in my router. And yes, it works!!! So, credits to DoubleU and the final trigger from SAF, thank you!

That's one of the the benefits of the beomedia. If you use the standard low resolution, the RF modulator can distribute this (composite) videosignal.

Eindelijk! Krijg net een belletje vanuit Houten dat de Beocom 5 daar binnen is gekomen!! Ik kan hem direct komen halen, dus ik ben even weg....... Oh ja, voor degene die hem nog niet gezien hebben, hier een plaatje. Groot voordeel van deze telefoon t.o.v. de 6000 is dat je dus nu kan zien wie er belt als hij op de basis staat/ligt. I don't even think that an update of your BV5 is enough. Even if your BV5 is capable of handling the PC instruction, then the linkroom has to support the PC instruction also. My Beolink Passive in the bathroom doesn't support it. (I use a cheap LCD for watching DTV etc using the passive for the instructions) But I can't chance the instruction

Thanks for your info Keith. It still seems like a lottery. Several persons I've spoken or heard about mentioned that they can receive these stations without any problems. (here in The Netherlands) So, probably they "scan" your ip-address, and if you're blacklisted, you won't hear anything.

I've had it. Still no luck with BBC 2 radio etc. Got the beoplayer under W7 working with the Beomedia and the Beomedia sends all the stations and music over to the laptop. But still no sound using Nradio, Winamp, WMP. BBC London, Surrey etc do work, so what's the catch?

There are four different types of BV5, so which type do you have? Check your software and typenr in the service menu.

I've installed Beoplayer on my laptop with W7. I had some difficulties to locate the Beomedia. It didn't connect. But after renaming your networklocation from "Home" (that's the type of network W7 asks you) to "Company". Make sure that your workgroup names on both the Beomedia and your computer are the same.
