While my system has the occasional crack or click I have not been as thorough as you have in your analysis. We may even have different problems, because: 1/ my configuration is different: macmini - beoport - BV8-32, where the macmini uses the BV8 as its screen, and I run iTunes 2/ my clicks, snaps, crackles, and pops happen when I am playing the music

I have no desire to be beaten up as an Apple Fan Boy (and yes, I did like the iStone joke in the other thread). I guess they are saying two things 1. B&O units are usually (?!) black shiny and rectangular -- (OK, true of my Beosystem 5000 units) 2. how to open them is often magical (also true of my 5000, but also thing of the glass doors that open on approach, or the DVD player of the BV7 which is invisible, etc, etc)

I had the same set-up as yours for more than a year (and then I added a Beolab 11) Tastes in our family vary, most of the family are happy with the default operation which is all speakers are active ( BV8+BL3 (+BL11)) However I use the [SPEAKER] soft key on the Beo4 to switch between these modes: 1/ for just the news and programs like that I use [SPEAKER

setup LINK-A.AUX on your Beo4 and try that might work ?
