Richard, I bought a new touch dome for one of mine that failed. Inside, there is a 'magic tube' that barely touches the dome. On the inside of the dome, there is a metalic spiders web type thing. The whole thing is reminiscent of one of those plasma glass ball playthings, that you put your hands on and watch the static reach out to your touch

My Auntie Chrissie used to send me a ten shilling note every year for my birthday. It was a mega big deal, and the only prezzie I got. I too would like to add my two penn'orth. Although (as yet) I haven't had any cap kits, belts or bulbs from Martin, I have had so much information from him. Beautiful! Especially on that cabinet! Good luck with your sale, though I could never bring myself to part with it. I believe you can make up a battery pack by a mixture of easily available modern batteries. Andy T.
