I have the Beomaster 8000 service manual in front of me right now and it gives different specs for the mains fuses (F2 and F3) depending on the mains voltage (Page 4-6) but it may not be like that in all service manuals and some items may have their fuses dimensioned to accept the mains current at all the possible voltages. Yes, you can swap the little bronze contact parts from some of the buttons you never use (the high volume buttons 50 and 60 springs to mind), that should be a very easy fix. Inventing a new type of contacts just to solve this little issue seems a bit out of proportion if you ask me. Finding a whole panel in better condition from a donor could be an

Won't a cleaning help ? I like to take the panel apart, dismount the little bronze leaf spring contacts, clean the board and the bronze parts from oxidation and dust and put it back together. Martin

If I remember correctly, the hole is in the metal bracket that also holds the DIN socket. I suppose that makes it a metal hole rather than a plastic hole. Martin
