I have ours set to 12 characters and longer, both options selected. I have not had any failure for some time now. I have to keep turning the program back on after the 1 hour timeout. Your tests sound much better and more technical than mine.

FW is in BM Link Preferences under Advanced. It is at the bottom of that window, in the center.

No Beosound 4 or wireless in our system. Masterlink between iMac with Beolab 4000s connected to Beoport, Beolab 6000s in another room, and BV7/BS3000 and speakers in another room. Beonut, I can see why you would be worried about the turning. We have a BV7 40 inch and have the base of the stand about 6 inches from the wall behind it. Turning the TV all the way to one side only gets the TV within about 9 inches of the wall. In other words, the side of the TV when turned is farther away from the wall than the back of the base. If
