  • Beogram 4002 i Oslo - ser meget bra ut

  • Re: Why MKI, MKII, MKIII ....versions

As a lot of people buy B&O for the status of ownership, it's necessary to establish the "shape of the thing" in the mind of people. If B&O changed the look of its components every year, you wouldn't get that recognition. Consider cars - Jaguars, Porsches, BMWs -- all have recognizable shapes. Which is why B&O changes the

  • Re: Bluray dead out of the gate?

BTW - from the article in the original post. I wish this was B&O: On Monday, for example, the Korean television maker LG Electronics plans to announce a new line of high-definition televisions that connect directly to the Internet with no set-top box required. The televisions will be able to play movies and television shows from online video-on

  • Re: Bluray dead out of the gate?

I think it's important to distinguish between the delivery medium and the format. HD-Ready and Full-HD (plus even higher formats) can be delivered via the net, just as they can be delivered on a disk. The full resolution audio is actually what takes up the most space on a BD disk, which means that if you have a good full-surround system you might

  • Re: HD Ready vs Full HD

Absolutely. Not in a second's doubt that true Blu ray is better than SD. My point was that SD broadcasts upscale badly. True Full-HD or HD-Ready looks wonderful, even on a 40" screen!

  • Re: HD Ready vs Full HD

Unfortunately, people demanded Full-HD, not really knowing that what they were asking for was incompatible with the majority of the signals available. HD-Ready is more than adequate for anything not projected. And Full-HD on a 40" or even 50" screen is overkill. Dealers weren't able to shift HD-Ready, once the public caught on to the pre

I'm not singling out B&O in any manner/shape/form. B&O is - in its reports to analysts - and in analyst's reactions to same. 19/12 - B&O headed for operational deficit http://jp.dk/arkiv/?id=1548261&eceExpr=olufsen%22%20/%3E&eceArchive=o 20/12 - B&O Crisis Fast Increasing in Severity http://jp.dk/arkiv/?id=1549131&eceExpr

I called it a ridiculous discussion, Razlaw, because there isn't an answer - it's pointless to argue the point. As long as B&O won't give us the kind of spec's that other manufacturers freely provide, we can't really know what happens to the signal chain. I didn't say you "interjected" the topic, just that I'm

These ridiculous discussions, Razlaw, are one of the reasons why I'm spending less time on BeoWorld these days. You seem on a mission to fill every thread with your point-of-view on this issue. I'm kind of going with 355f's on this one - great that it's got the ooomph, put it in the spec's - and that doesn't make me someone who
