  • Re: Alternative for Kaleidescape

Completely agree with DoubleU. I had a mac mini connected to my BV7-40. To control it via Beo4 with the six button Apple Remote functions was very annoying. No linkroom sound or picture, no standby mode. Not very media player like, too much computer..... So I replaced it with a Tvix 6500. Easy to install, easy to control. Standby mode, HDMI for picture

  • Re: Composite Cables for BV7-40

Some time ago I thought about about "updating" my BV7-40 MKII with the HGMI expander, but decided to replace it with an MKIII. So, no I have no experience with this product. The HDMI expander is controlled by the stb (PUC) controller of your BV7. To do this it requires newest BV7-SW for HDMI expander, stb controler, an IR transmitter. A few

  • Re: Correct Setup, and BEOMEDIA use

Seems your BL passives don`t understand "PC". Maybe all your passives need a sw update, but I`m not quite sure if this will work. Ask your dealer. I got a BL active that does not detect "PC", but the BL3500 in my bathroom does. As I understand it, Your BV7 should be V.OPT 2 (videomaster for video- and audio sources). The passives

  • Re: Composite Cables for BV7-40

You won`t need a switching box at all if you own a BV7-40. The BV7 got SCART AV sockets. Connect SCART - RCA adapters to the ports and now there are three composite inputs that switches automatically by changing video sources via your Beo4/5. For example V.MEM (AV1), DVD2 (AV2), V.AUX (AV3). In addition you got analog stereo inputs as well (rca - red

  • Re: Mac Mini + Beosystem 3

It outputs analog and digital simultaneously. As said it can loop through digital AND converts it to analog stereo. Stefan

  • Re: BV 7-40 Blue-Ray upgrade Kit eingebaut

Ausserdem spielt

  • Re: Mac Mini + Beosystem 3

Maybe you want to try the Philips HD1502. Actually it is a surround headphone amplifier. It converts digital audio - DD, DTS , PCM - to analog stereo. In addition to that it loops through the digital signal. I used the amplifier when I had a mac mini connected to my BV7-40. Hope this helps. Stefan
