Dirk, The configuration Tool will NOT work on 64 bit Vista systems. Please be aware that if your PC uses SIS USB controller or mother board which uses the SIS USB chipset it will not work and depending on configuration may give you the blue screen. The digits cannot be re-assigned using the latest version (or 2.20) of the Configuration Tool. However, you can assign them to anything you want too, within a template and then add the template to your configuration within the Tool.

Adrian, The HP Windows Media Centre uses Philips RC6 protocol and the XML you downloaded from the Beo5 Information and Resource pages was made with the XML Generator which only creates output in RAW form. There is no workaround other than making sure your PC does NOT have a SIS USB controller or SIS USB chipset on your motherboard.

The most likely cause is the PC's you are using have a SIS USB chipset which does not work with the Beo5.

Matt, I will answer your questions in the order you have asked them:- YES -- The Beo5 can control 3rd party products DIRECTLY from the Beo5 without using the Beovision in any way. The Beo5 Configuration Tool uses XML control files for everything and so an XML file must be produced for each 3rd party product and then its just a matter of drag-n-dropping

Yes, there is a problem with the new version of the Configuration Tool with adding a second and subsequent command in several situations, so you may have to edit the XML file itself to add the requirements. I am currently compiling a list of issues found with the new version of the Configuration Tool and this is certainly one of them.
