My memory serves me well as I have confirmed by re=reading the threads. There are, exactly as I said, emails from B and O confirming that DTS and Dolby HD work
No Razlaw - the BV7-40 MKIV can't, internally, through it's own Blu-ray player support some of these audio formats, such as DTS HD. It states

If you understand the irony here, I'm really looking forward to seeing SD TV on that BV7-55. This happens often, but I was away for five days over the weekend and when I arrived back yesterday, SD on my BV7-40 MKIV seemed really blocky. That's because I had been watching SD through a CRT and SD looks terrible on a large LCD, in comparison. Unfortunately

To be honest, I'm a little fed up with B&O and the issues with BV7-40 MKIII and now the MKIV. I had to wait for three major sw updates, over a period of about a year, to fix three key issues with the MKIII. You would have thought they'd learnt their lessons and would have got the MKIV right, first time. Now we're having to feed back
why would dealers object ?, thought they be happy
Without naming names, some dealers I've spoken to seem to err on the side of wishing Beoworld *didn't* exist. I think they think that it makes potential customers 'too knowledgeable', thus making their job somewhat harder. I also guess
B&O seems to have choosen to keep the whole bv8 package without modifying anything.
Unfortunately/fortunately it's called 'economies of scale'. It makes a lot of sense. Create on chassis and then run it across as many TVs as possible. I doubt the BV7-55 will have a different chassis from the BV7
The new bevision 10 has only 2 hdmi ports....why so little????
Why so shocked? It's based on the BV8-40 chassis - we've been discussing this for months!! The BV8-40 has 2 x HDMI sockets. Another BV10 thread, I see.
Now that it has been out for a while - what is the general impression?
I had it for 5-6 weeks, then sold it and replaced it with an Apple TV (I already had an Mac Mini-based music distribution system). The Apple TV has a better interface when controlled via the TV, plus extra functionality. From that perspective
And as for the BeoVision 9, 16K must be including the Beo5 at £500 (which isnt much of a consolation), but i bet there are a few dealers out there ready to do deals on ex-display stock, Lee even has one on his site at a good price.
No, it doesn't include the Beo5. I asked my dealer how much discount

I'm really fed up with B&O TVs at the moment. My new replacement BV7-40 MKIV is now crashing and I'm running around trying to figure the reason. Visited my local B&O store at lunch and was amazed to see the BV9 is now £16K. It was £13K something only in May? Amazing. I was seriously thinking about upgrading to that only a
I just don't see the point spending 10k€ on a B&O home cinema and then...
Yes, but out of principle, we should have to spend £14 or more on a Blu-ray when the same film is almost a third of the price on SD. Just because we *can* afford to spend, it doesn't mean we *should*. That's reason
