No the power lead plugs into the base of the beosound 3. The wall bracket is just a piece of plastic.

Dont get me wrong the new site is fantastic, I just found the old forum much better

I love mine. It sounds great and I also use mine mainly as a bed side clock. I listen mostly to A.MEM (SD card) when I am upstairs, its great in the bathroom. Every B&O nut should have one.

After a week of playing with the new forum, I have to say I prefer the old forum a lot more. (apart from the downtimes)

Wow picture inserted succesfully I removed my skirting board. B&Q sell a cable system with inserts for double or single sockets to which standards switches/front plates screw onto. Behind the base of the Beolab 8000 I fitted a single blank polished chrome plate which i drilled a hole in, the size of a powerlink plug with a rubber grommet inserted

The Beocom 4 is the best phone to use IMHO. It was my first phone and I loved it for its ease of use and great looks. However I sold it for a Beocom2 which looks nice and joins my phone network, but thats about it.

stevo4: But what about the Beocom 4? Why wouldn't someone want to upgrade to the Beocom 4 instead of the older 6000, unless it was purely for the look of it or can the Beocom 4 not be used the same way as the 6000? stevo Beocom 4 is a stand alone phone. The 6000's can share the same base/phonebook with up to 6 other handsets including Beocom
