They made lots of records and CD's. Demonstration, adjustment, alignment and other test-records and give-aways. I believe one of the earliest is the Lyttervalsen (Listeners Waltz) from 1932. http://users.cybercity.dk/~dsl42943/lyttervalsen_clip.mp3 "Og hør, lille ven, vil du lytte med mig ? If a tape is stuck in the Beocord 5000 tower series, leave it there (don't force anything) but: - Open the tape drawer and let it reach out over the edge of a table or similar. - By inserting a finger into the square hole underneath the tapedeck mechanical section you'll be able to reach the edge of the large grey flywheel. Is the frequency readout OK ? Martin

A capacitor kit exists but there is another issue that you can check; In some BM8000's a screw holding the metal bottom plate is too long. It sits near the front edge, just below the tuner board (near the center of the Beomasters front edge). The screw is metal and grounded throught the bottom plate. It can reach a copper trace on the underside

Rozel, Welcome to Beoworld ! I suggest you exercise the Hi/Lo switch at the rear (left side) a couple of times. Do it while unpowered or you will get a hefty noise from the speakers. This switch is often not used for longer periods of time and the contacts oxidate. It will often result in a fault like this. Of course there can be other reasons but this
