What a shame the remote doesn't sit in the unit as the main control... on second thoughts, great until you lose it! Anyway, the thing could grow on me, shame about the shortcomings mentioned above as they seem like such simple things for B&O to implement, especially source selection! However, someone mentioned the lack of display being a letdown

The way I see it, is if you can't hear a problem there ain't one!

police auction springs to mind :)

ok thanks Graham. For your info it is on ebay and was apparently taken from a MS6000 so this should be ok then...? I think £10 is value for me (assuming knowone else bids!) but it stings that I got an LX5500 and motorised stand for £5 last year!!! Gave them to my mum though..

I will be looking at this too soon as I have a 4002 with a very poor panel except it is currently in London.. Also the black plastic panel on my BC5000 has scratches and again I suspect great care should be taken with these two!

Look at the third picture here folks - I can just imagine as he was flipping the beogram over, hearing a clunk then the person saying.. "What the heck..? Whoops!" lol! I am tempted to ask if there are any marks on the inside of the lid :) Olly.

I think there is no doubt B&O has always cared more about the overall experience (i.e. tactile response, the sound of clicks produced when pressing buttons and visual feedback etc..) than that of 'moving parts'. Where there has been need for mechanical movement, they have always strived to achieve this with elegance and a certain mystique

Did they change the interface as well as the plug then? I will contact them and see...

Ah I best do a search then! Thanks..

In all honesty I have a wonderful understanding wife. You would know that if you saw the state of my 'computer workstation' behind the setee - my excuse is that if I took it all upstairs I would rarely see her!
