The lip sync issue can be fixed in the service menu, BUT if I recall correctly it affects all sources. So if there is only a delay on one source (aside from telling you that the issue is in the source!) it would fix one problem and cause another. My guess is that the fault lies with the service provider, but I hope you see it fixed one way or another

It will all depend on the distance. If you look at the ratings, the distance capabilities are fairly significant and probably far more than most would require in an average home. Now this is no guarantee (and we may well learn more details) but Cat6 should probably work. I'd definitely wait on any renovations before you've tested it!

Sorry to hear about your issues. We have some pretty able people on this site. Perhaps if you went into some detail we might be able to offer further assistance. The products you bought (especially the loudspeakers) are pretty well regarded so if they can get the issues ironed out you should enjoy them tremendously. Go ahead and elaborate.

I'm sure it could still use a bit of polish, but the idea does sound to be of value. Hopefully we'll hand carve a competitive solution in the coming decades

It's not whether the two pieces will physically hold together. That can be accomplished with a little drilling and hardware. The issue is that the 9000 will absolutely tip that little stand over. No question about it.

I don't want this as my remote. Remember that the Beo4 is so popular because you can sit there and idly surf channels, change volume, etc. This factored heavily into the decision to make the Beo5 a "hybrid" design with a familiar hard-key base. I don't want to reach over, use both hands, wait a second for the device to wake up, and

B&O software engineers on their way to IdeaLand. That app will be here any day now...

What exactly does he need in order to move on the update?
