• Re: My dog thinks.....

Yes it is my favorite I think - not so keen on the film spin-offs IMO same with Simpsons... Regards the names I think we discussed many other variables but Bender and Leela were top of the list! I have decided to try to persuade my daughter to name her first hamster Nibler

  • Re: Beomaster 4400 - A Total Refurbishment

Deoxit is available from Ebay UK. Not cheap but from what I have heard the lesser amount required might mean long term similar price..?

Actually the big 1 watt resistor and zener supplying the base of the transistor kicks out a fair bit of heat - definately not the motor as this is setup exactly as per the manual (I followed just about every proceedure to get things just right :) ). The transistor has to drop about 10volts or so if I remember correctly. The regulated side is a little
Here's what Pavlov looks like after an encounter with a viper.
Ouch, but apparently a much more common occurance amongst dogs than people! I assume all was ok in the end..? Would love to see an adder in the wild though not many round Manc-land! Anyway, Dog thinks... I won't be so inquisitive now

  • Re: Best MMC Tangential, after the 8002?

I don't think there is an easy answer, except be prepared to pay the asking price for one that does eventually come along. Either that or pay for a knackered one and get a kit off Martin. Personally if I was in your position, I would consider one of the later decks if it was that tough to find the one you want - I am sure they are not that much

  • Re: The BeoSound 8 - Live Review!!!

Moxxy, ever since the Avants and some later B&O products I have often started with the same opinion (The instant wow factor of the 80's / 90's seemed to be missing from a number of later products), but after initial dissapointment have grown to appreciate what has generally been good design. There is no difference here, I find this design
The easiest thing in the world is to say 'hideous' or 'awful' - and hey, that's your right - but exactly what kind of design would have made you go ' wow- i want one ' I'd be interested to see some answers to this. Lee
Something that doesn't use a god damn apple product for
