If it bothers your WLAN connections, try configuring the router to use a different channel.
I believe it is still possible to have type "Y" capacitors (either a single Y1 or two Y2 parts in series) from live and neutral to "dead" metal (i.e. otherwise insulated from the current carrying parts of the appliance), even in double insulated appliances, for EMI suppression reasons. These capacitors

I'm sure the phones will be axed the moment they don't create enough revenue. Dunno how this applies to B&O's market coverage in general, but in Finland and I believe most of Scandinavia landline phones are disappearing fast. You can usually babble half a day over the mobile for the monthly base fee of a landline phone, and calls from

See the type sticker of the Beosound 8 (or pretty much any halfway modern piece of kit that runs on two-prong AC power) and you will find it is classed as a "doubly insulated" AC device (two concentric squares). This means that neither of the AC inlet wires has any electrical connection to the case or any exposed connector of the device. It

See my first post. With some extra kit, you can, but it won't be an optimal solution. Google for "inverse RIAA" and you might find a readymade box somewhere. Or, have someone build this for you: http://sound.westhost.com/project80.htm
I've being following this thread, apart from cosmetic and cleaning, what else is there to do or watch for on these amazing pieces of art ??
First and foremost the speaker - does it work properly instead of binding? There aren't any replacements. Then, the antenna.. is it straight with no nicks

Connect the DIN end of the cable to Tape 2 on the Beomaster. If the RCA (phono) ends of the cable aren't marked in any way, you'll just need to try which way they should be connected, it doesn't hurt anything. Then set the Beomaster on TP2 (low volume!), put a Minidisc on play and connect a pair of the RCA plugs to the line out of the MD

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 connections

That should work for the Minidisc, connected to Tape 2 - but see the caveat regarding the recording levels. Go ahead and try it anyway, it might be possible to compensate for the difference with the recording level controls. Playback should definitely work!
