Thanks again to everyone for their input! In a sense I am starting to regret starting this thread. I started off looking for something for my father to use, and now find that my own credit card is getting nervous, arguments like I don't really need one are not working as well as they should..... 1. iPod and headphones when out and about or at work.(Not at home) 2. Vinyl (Was CD until I rediscovered B&O) 3. CD 4. Radio I used to think that CD was better than vinyl, I now realise my turntable was rubbish! I also spent years buying what I had on vinyl on CD, but after buying my Beocenter I am busy buying what I have on CD on vinyl! I have

Thanks for the responses everyone! Am I right in thinking that the Beosound 3 does not have a CD Player? In practice the Beosound 1 would be used exclusively for listening to classical music on CD and Radio 3 on FM, so it sounds like it is exactly what he needs. I will pass your comments on! Simon

I have a Beocenter 7000 and no intention of getting a 2200 or a 4000! The 2200/4000 would be OK for a 'diposable' system if you are just dipping

It cuts both ways really. The Beocenter 2200 was certainly no classic, but now you can pick one up in good nick for £30-£50 or sometimes less it makes a great introduction to B&O even if it is going to end up in the skip when something goes seriously wrong. I think is probably a better buy than the 4000 which tends to fetch a little

jandyt: Next you'll be telling me that Santa and the tooth fairy don't exist. Andy T. Is there something people haven't been telling me?

Does anyone know if the current B&O UK price list is available on-line anywhere? Thanks Simon
