Talk about a thread whose cousin had been comfortably hidden under a rock for a few weeks....
And? I think this forum is very polite and managed efficiently. Look at any football forum and there are ten threads about the same topic, on one page. That happens often. Very often. The fact that a thread - any thread

Put it this way - football looks awful in SD now, compared to HD. If you watch an England match on ITV SD, it's so blocky it's almost unwatchable. HD is excellent with fast moving objects and camera panning. So, for football and similar programmes, HD is king. If you're just going to watch the news and other slow moving programmes, HD is
I like (and might prefer) B&O LCD for video games and HD Sports and news. But for cinema the BV4 Plasma is still tops. If someone couldn't tell the difference I might say to just get the LCD for practicality. This is all subjective of course, but before this thread gets too out of control let me just state for

Nice one Simon. I think ITV HD has an excellent picture - was watching the England game on ITV HD last night.
I disagree that only the 'techy' people come on here
Absolutely, of course you can disagree. However, if you look at the circulation of our top consumer PC title, it sells around 175,000 copies. However, we have 25,000 registered users and less than 2,000 active users. Very similar situation. If all 25
I'm interested to meet one of these "rich dumb people." You'll have to introduce me to a few.
You're a funny bloke Trip. Pretty much *everyone* knows that the average B&O customer is between 45-65, tends to not have a technical background, has a higher than average disposable income
I think plasma suffers from buying habits due to the order technology has evolved. First CRT, then plasma & now LCD gives the perception that LCD is the latest technology and the one to buy. This is incorrect and to many including myself, plasma gives a better viewing experience.
I disagree. I think a quality
but we're a more rugged breed and have a different native appreciation for certain luxuries. Perhaps you've seen our trucks?
Is that why ALL the luxury brands come from Europe, Trip? Think clothes, watches, handbags, AV kit, cars. Americans produce some good kit, but it's very low-end consumer
Do I have wires and complicated set ups..no. One remote.
You are kidding David? There are more wires behind my BV7-40 than anything I've ever seen. In fact, I had to buy a separate BS3 cabinet to hide as many as possible. Also, I have had tons of engineer visits to get my BV7-40 and BV8 (another room
Is B&O falling behind? Hardly. The retail consumer has dried up and blown away.
Depends where you are Trip. In places such as London and Bath, sales in many places are UP this year. The large 'Kitchen Shop' told me last week that this is their best year in 20 years. A menswear store in town said
