    Hi Ian, that would be no problem at all. I live in Morley which is South Leeds and is very easily accessible via the M1 - M62 link road. I am about 1 mile from J28 of the M62. I have left you a PM - to access it simply go to your in box which is at the top right hand corner of the page. Chris.

    That's exactly the problem I mentioned. You really need to manufacture another hook or peg on the tonearm carriage to reaffix the nylon line to. The original plastic hook has snapped off and there is no way of glueing it back on even if you still have it and it is quite difficult to see where this hook originally was. Then there is rethreading the

    Agreed - many problems can be solved with a bit of tinkering on these decks. They aren't the most complicated beasts B&O ever made. A common problem with a non tracking arm is the nylon pully cable fixing point on the arm carriage snaps off which is a fairly straightforward fix. Chris.

    I've got a MMC5 with a broken cantiever somewhere if you can afford to send it to Axel for refurbishing - you're welcome to it. I know the channels were fine when I gave it to my brother before he broke it. Chris.

    Thanks to my good friend & all round Beoworld meister Dillen (Martin) for supplying me with a cap kit, some other impossible to find parts & some priceless advice I am now the proud daddy of a near mint Beomaster 1700. Just love the quirkiness of this thing and it is shortly to become my next PC amp connected to some CX50's. Not bad for
