Things have gone quite slow this week, with one thing and another, ive also been suffering a bit with a cold. Managed to get some batten and trunking fitted to the wall. Where the two, 2"X1" battens run up the wall (vertically) in the middle of the wall, just happen to be the exact distance apart for screwing in the wall bracket for the horizontally

As soon as i got home from work today i made a start. Now if i followed the same idea as the left of chimney brest and batten of the wall then because this wall was plastered it would stick out further than the left side, so should i remove the plaster? Yes why not.

The plaster was quite soft and with the chaser it came of in around 20 minutes. Problem was it then took an hour and a half to clean up and dust down the room.

With all the paper and picture rail removed my attention was cast to the wall to the right of the chimney brest. This wall will have the BS9000, horizontally mounted with the other BL4000 at a high level. Now this wall is plastered already (unlike the left side that had plasterboard nailed to the bare block) so i had to decide how to run my cables.

Friday morning and ive taken the morning off as the aerial guys are coming. I asked for a digital TV aerial and FM aerial to be mounted to the chimney and to re-route the 2 sky+ cables into loft to follow the TV and FM aerial route into loft and down through built in wardrobe into lounge below.

Im On-Call this week so haven't been able to do much, so i started to strip the wall paper from the ceiling. I have a spare hour between finishing my day job and starting On-Call, so this took me a few days.

This afternoon i had a few spare hours, so really cracked on and got the rest of the wall paper stripped and picture rail removed and also knocked off some loose plaster. As you can see the BV3 is still in the room, and i know i should get it out of the room but as ive said before i am still using the front room while the work goes on and with two kids

So now all three masterlink cables are in the corner of the built in wardrobe but the distribution box wont stay like this. I still have the 2 sky cables, TV aerial and FM aerial to run from loft down beside the masterlink. This will be done end of next week. The other ends of the cables are tucked away under the lounge floor (except the MX4002 cable
