  • Re: iPod - B&O

Hi Martin, I have attached below a very helpful thread which might be of assistance to you in setting up your system. In addition to what Peter and Joe have noted, if you have a wireless network at home, you can connect wirelessly to the system, which is outlined in this thread. But basically all you need to do is.. 1.get an apple Airport Express (wireless

  • Re: Should I buy Beolab 5???

Hi Martin, Whilst I am in no way an expert on the BL 5 and BL 9 speakers, I would like to offer the following as it seems relevant to my evening. Coincidently, this evening I was just at a client's home which I designed about a year ago, who has just recently acquired their BL9 we discussed. Their living room is similar dimensions to yours in terms

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 sounding very dull!!

Hi Andy, For the caps kit, drop Martin (member username Dillion) a PM to ask him. I also got a kit from him for my BM6000 and it was a very reasonable price. Not to mention that it comes with nice coloured, clear instructions and diagrams for installation! As far as an easy job this depends on your experience and how much spare time you have, I not

  • Re: Get your BL5s set up right! 13 tips ...

Hi Soundproof, Just wanted to say thank you, yet another wonderfully detailed, informative and enjoyable thread! While I may not own and or plan to buy BL5 at present, I hope that a pair of these amazing speakers exist in my future and look to putting your advice to good use. I'm also sure that many of your points apply to other 'lesser'

Hi Dave, Agreed, congratulations.... I'm sure you'll definitely enjoy them, I visited one of my old clients last week and we had BL1 in their set up and it sounds amazing. By the way your room looks great! The set up looks perfect ... Laurence.

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 motor belt

Hi All, Short update on my volume motor issue ... whilst checking with Martin on whether he had managed to source the new belts he mentioned (which he has not been able to date)... he gave another suggestion that I try the following simple trick... The result is fantastic, smooth easy movement now from 0 - 60 on the volume scale. Simply take IPA (isopropyl

Hi Alaumeise, Sorry, I was just congratulating Jouni on his success with your suggestion to cut the belt that Martin had given to you. I think this will help many of us... am considering doing it myself, as to be honest aside from the hassle of the volume not working smoothly I'm a little concerned the motor will 'burn out' with all the

Hey Jouni, Nice one! Glad it worked for you. Out of interest how much did you cut out? It looks around 5 or 6mm? Would that be about right? Thanks, Laurence.

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 motor belt

Hi Jouni, Thanks, was well timed was thinking about posting about this, so you beat me to it! I understand from the experts (on this and other sites) that the 6000 electronics are based largely on the 4400 so your comparison is well founded, as you may already know. I hope that you can get the tuner sorted out, but I understood that you can still tune

Hi Jouni, Firstly sorry for high jacking your thread! But I think I'm am suffering the same fate! Martin, could you PM me the cost of your belts? I think I need to order one sooner than later.... My volume on my 6000 has also has been driving me a bit crazy lately... Despite having it adjusted end of last year, after which it was OK for a while
