I thought a follow up to anyone interested in the "set-down" problem on the 8000 I incurred might be in order. Being a total novice regarding repairs on this turntable I did not realize until Martin supplied the photo that there was a panel under the tonearm "home" compartment that need to be removed to get access to the-set down

Sorry I was not clearer in my original post, the diagram I am referring to is from the service manual. But I am still not able to identify the location of the switch the diagram refers to with its location on the turntable.

Sorry, but I am still unclear about the location of this switch for adjustment. I think my problem is I am unable to see where the diagram of that switch corresponds to the location on the turntable. I understand by "home" you mean the resting position for the tonearm when it is not in play. I guess I sort of need an Idiot's Guide explanation

Hello All, I have a query on how to do a set-down adjustment on the Beogram 8000. I received a pdf of the Beogram 8000 through the kindness of Peter McEvedy regarding that adjustment. On page 5-3 of the manual with the heading "SO Switch" it shows a diagram for that adjustment. I hate to sound dense but I am not sure where the diagram is referring
