  • Re: Beolab 3 vs Anthony Gallo's Strada speakers

Hi, yes I have ears-on experience of both speakers - I bought three pairs of Reference 3.1's recently and have six pairs of Beolab 3's in stock. I listen to both models and happily own Reference 3.1's now. It is in my interests to big-up the Beolab 3's but that wouldn't be giving a fair and informed opinion. The comparison between

Anthony Gallo Reference 3.1's? Comparison should not be between them and 3's, but more so the 9's. Wire the Reference 3's with an external amp and activate the second bass coil for tremendous bass response, performance is between Beolab 9's and 5's somewhere. So impressed I bought the last three pairs in Europe before the release

  • Re: BV7 RF modulator

To be honest I always play it straight lol but maybe you could just leave your Labgear in situ but am pretty sure there are reasons why the RF Amp is recommended over and above a straightforward distribution amp - perhaps B&O could offer some informed and well-advised comment on this forum, perhaps not! BV7-32/40 has Aerial In and RF Mod Out so

  • Re: Lower a BeoVision 10-40 on motorised base

I agree, the TV looks far better in BV5/BV9 stance.

  • Re: Beosystem 2 and BV4 = hd?

Beovision 4-50 can be 760 or 1080...so it's hdready. 480 was 37" model.... This is not correct, certain 4-50's were not HD Ready. The advice from B&O is that serial numbers 1838+ can only take the DVI board and sw update on the panel, I hear some members have suceessfully done this to earlier panels too.

  • Re: Is it possible to TURN OFF 100hz on Beovision 7-55?

A really interesting thread, but I don't know the answer. Astounded when I first saw the quality of Avatar on the 7-55, so as any decent human being would do I went out and bought the Samsung 55" panel with Freeview HD and 4 x 1.4 HDMI, 3D CAPABILITY via compatible player and so on. £2300 seemed great value through the trade! Stated specs

  • Re: Beosystem 1 or 2 is it ever possible to make it hd??

The HDMI-DVI lead runs directly from your HD source to the 4-50 panel. Audio is handled via DECODER scart socket and SPDIF. 10 minute job to do the DVI socket, you can buy these reasonably cheaply elsewhere, but the Dealer or Installer must flash the panel software and there are some simple settings in the Service Menu to enable the DVI card depending

  • Re: BV7 RF modulator

David, you have an RF Modulator in the BV7 but it requires amplification via the external RF amp. Simply terminate you existing aerial feed to the Avant where you are going to site the box (in the loft/roofspace/cupboard) into the RF AMP (AERIAL IN); then use the remaining cable feed (which was the aerial feed to the Avant now terminated at the RF LINK

  • Re: Transporting a BV7 40

Disgusting response as reported by the franchised dealer - unbelivable in fact. Long handled allen key, release the two hex screws at the back of the stand mounting. Release all cables including motorised stand cable. Two people need to support the screen at either end, under the metal and not the glass, lift out and then up. BV7-40's will travel
