  • beogram 6500 question

    I posted this question in the beogram section, but due to lack of response decided to put it here also.!! " Hello to all, My beogram 6500 has a small fault i think, once the record has stopped playing and the stylus arm has returned to its resting position, the machine turns off ok, but the small light which lights up the record surface remains

    Mine does same as yours except that it engages and spools when i press either play or tape. sandy

    Is there any way to stop an ouverture opening its doors every time a person goes near it? Without turning off at the mains !!!! Thanks Sandy

    Peter : Better specified and more reliable CD mechanism. Having said that, I find it very difficult to distinguish one CD player over another. The CDX is easy to tell - beyond that, tricky! Peter, is the cdx the best cd player of the lot then? Sandy

    Peter : The CD in the CD5500/6500/7000 is better than that in the BS9000 and less problematic. The power amplifier in these amplifiers is also pretty good with lots of dynamics compared to the MCL2P which is flat sounding. If you are planning to use active speakers, get the 6500/7000. No point complicating matters! Are you saying the cd 6500 actually
