Back in the day, not long after the Avant was launched, we had a spate of service calls reporting that the new set was dead. On the arrival of the engineer, the customers were suitably embarrassed to discover that their child had switched the set off with the red power button cunningly concealed under the front of of the tube.

Have a look to see if any of the rubber keys have been jammed under the edge of the panel. Maybe a corner or one edge is stuck. Opman

Ooops just read my post and spotted a glaring mistake. The TV needs to be in OPTION2, sorry. Opman

OK, When the lead arrives, you need to option programme the products to tell them how they are set up. As previously stated the TV needs to be in "option 1" and the audio in "Option 0". The first thing to check is the powerlink cable (the thin cable that connects the audio to the speakers). Have you had a carpet laid? Is it possible that the cable has been damaged? Do you have any pets that could have chewed the cable? Alternatively it

“Because of the upright position of BeoSound 8 when mounted on the wall bracket and the size of the iPad, we do not recommend using the wall bracket for BeoSound 8 when the primary source is an iPad. When you place an iPad in the dock, the iPad seems unstable for operation even when the support part is completely tightened. “ Opman
Thanks Opman! Sounds straight forward. Does it add any delay to the switching of sources?
No delay of note. Given that you only have two HDMI sockets and want to add extra sources the options are to add the Atlona or trade in your set for the new version of the BeoVision10 with three HDMI sockets. Opman
